The UCC2895-Q1 is a phase-shift pulse-widthmodulation (PWM) controller that implements controlof a full-bridge power stage by phase shifting theswitching of one half-bridge with respect to the other.lt allows constant-frequency PWM in conjunction withresonant zero-voltage switching to provide highefficiency at high frequencies. The device can beused either as a voltage-mode or current-modecontroller.

Although the UCC2895-Q1 maintains the functionalityof the UC3875/6/7/8 family and UC3879, it improveson that controller family with additional features suchas enhanced control logic, adaptive delay set, andshutdown capability. Because it is built using theBCDMOS process, it operates with dramatically lesssupply current than its bipolar counterparts. TheUCC2895-Q1 can operate with a maximum clockfrequency of 1 MHz.
